Fuse Capital is looking for an Associate Director (Asia). This is a full-time remote position based in India, with travel as required.

The role offers excellent growth opportunities. As Fuse Capital's first on-the-ground Investments hire in India, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the firm's presence across India and the wider APAC region.

You will have equal responsibility for deal origination and transaction execution, working closely with the Delivery and Global Sales teams to originate new mandates, develop lender and sponsor relationships, and execute complex debt transactions.

Responsibilities:

Deal Execution

- Lead end-to-end transaction processes for mid-to-large-cap mandates, coordinating with clients, lenders, legal counsel, and internal teams.
- Advise clients on transaction strategy and develop appropriate financing and capital structures.
- Conduct financial analysis, including financial statement reviews, debt structuring, sizing, and assessment of complex capital structures.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with institutional lenders, credit funds, and senior debt providers across the APAC region.
- Conduct lender research, evaluate financing options, and identify appropriate funding solutions for clients.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate term sheets and credit documentation.

Deal Origination & Business Development
- Originate new business opportunities and secure mandates in collaboration with global Sales and Marketing teams.
- Develop and execute a personal go-to-market strategy for the Indian and wider APAC market.
- Participate in pitches and senior-level client conversations to win new engagements.




- Build and deepen relationships with clients, sponsors, lenders, and other key stakeholders across the region.
- Generate new leads and leverage an established professional network to support regional business growth.
- Build a strong personal presence within the market with support from the firm's marketing function.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience, with substantial hands-on experience specifically in debt advisory or debt origination.
- Strong experience in areas such as Leveraged Finance, Structured Finance, Origination, Credit, or related financing disciplines.
- An active and established network of lenders, sponsors, and/or clients across India/APAC that can be leveraged from the outset.
- Demonstrated track record of business development, winning mandates, and independently closing sizeable transactions.
- Proven experience executing large-ticket and complex debt transactions.
- Excellent financial modelling, financial analysis, and transaction structuring capabilities.
- Robust commercial acumen with outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Professional maturity and confidence to engage with senior executives, clients, sponsors, and funding partners.
- Ability to manage multiple complex priorities while effectively leading and mentoring deal teams.
- Willingness to travel to meet clients, lenders,



and other stakeholders as required.
- CFA or Chartered Accountant qualification is desirable.

Preferred Background: Candidates from the following backgrounds may also be considered, provided they have genuine debt origination experience and an active regional network of lenders, sponsors, or clients:

- Equity advisory or restructuring
- Private Equity / Venture Capital
- Front-office commercial, corporate, or institutional banking
- Investment Banking or M&A;
- Leveraged & Acquisition Finance

- Successfully leverage your existing regional network to develop new lender, sponsor, and client relationships.
- Build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and contribute directly to winning new mandates.
- Independently manage complex debt transactions from initial engagement through execution and closing.
- Strengthen the firm's lender and funding partner network across India and the wider APAC region.
- Establish a credible market presence and support the firm's expansion in India.
- Become a trusted senior advisor to clients while working effectively with global Investments, Sales, and Delivery teams.
