Job Summary The Assistant Warehouse Manager supports the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring effective receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, inventory control, and staff management. The role requires strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills to maintain accurate inventory and achieve operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in managing day-to-day warehouse operations.
- Supervise, train, and allocate work to warehouse staff.
- Coordinate receiving, unloading, inspection, and storage of goods.
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, labeling, and dispatch of orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records.
- Conduct regular stock counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure proper warehouse organization and optimal use of storage space.
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments and coordinate with logistics teams.
- Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and warehouse procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and warehouse records.
- Monitor staff productivity and operational performance.
- Resolve day-to-day warehouse issues and escalate major concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
- Assist with implementing process improvements to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
- Ensure equipment, tools, and warehouse facilities are maintained properly.
- Support audits and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
