Role Purpose The FINEX & Casualty Practice Lead will be responsible for building, leading, and growing WTWs Financial Lines and Casualty practice in Pune. The role combines deep technical expertise, business development leadership, client relationship management, and collaboration across broking, analytics, claims, reinsurance, and global specialty teams to deliver integrated, value-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Practice & Client Leadership
- Lead the design, structuring, and placement of complex Financial Lines and Casualty insurance programs, including D&O;, Professional Indemnity, Cyber, Crime, General Liability, and related covers.
- Act as a senior trusted advisor to clients, helping them understand, mitigate, and transfer financial and casualty risks.
- Build and maintain solid, long-term client relationships, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and unlock growth.
Business Development & Growth
- Drive current business acquisition for Financial Lines and Casualty across the Pune region.
- Partner with client teams to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Represent WTW in senior client discussions, market forums, and industry engagements.
Reinsurance & Market Engagement
- Expand and develop facultative reinsurance solutions across financial and casualty insurance programs.
- Build and strengthen relationships with insurers and reinsurers to optimize coverage terms, pricing, and capacity.
- Stay closely connected to market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging risk trends.
Collaboration & Integrated Solutions
- Work closely with broking, analytics, claims, engineering, and consulting teams to deliver holistic and differentiated client solutions.
- Leverage WTWs global FINEX and Casualty expertise, tools, and intellectual capital to shape effective go-to-market strategies.
Thought Leadership & Strategy
- Contribute to regional and national practice strategy for Financial Lines and Casualty.
- Support product innovation, solution development, and internal capability building.
- Mentor and support team members, helping build a strong and sustainable practice.
Required Experience & Skills
- Extensive experience in Financial Lines and/or Casualty insurance, preferably within a large brokerage, insurer, or reinsurer.
- Strong understanding of Indian insurance markets, regulations, and client risk landscapes.
- Proven track record in business development, client management, and complex program structuring.
- Experience working with facultative reinsurance is strongly preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to engage confidently with senior client leadership.
- 8-10 years of relevant work experience
- Strategic mindset with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.
