Position: Assistant Professor – Data Science

Department: Department of Technology

Programs: B.Tech. / M.Tech. in Data Science

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Data Science-related subjects to B.Tech. and M.Tech. students.
- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, and laboratory exercises.
- Develop course materials, presentations, assignments, quizzes, and examinations.
- Guide students in academic projects, internships, and final-year projects.
- Mentor students in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and related areas.
- Conduct practical sessions using Python, R, SQL, and relevant Data Science tools.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and developments in Data Science and AI.
- Encourage students to participate in technical competitions, hackathons, conferences, and research activities.
- Contribute to research, publications, funded projects, and industry-academic collaborations.
- Maintain academic records and evaluate student performance.
- Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, seminars, and other institutional activities.

Educational Qualification

- B.Tech./B.E. or M.Tech./M.E. in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Technology,



or a closely related discipline.

Required Technical Skills

- Robust knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning.
- Programming skills in Python and/or R.
- Knowledge of SQL, statistics, data visualization, and data analytics.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts.
- Knowledge of tools/libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and Power BI/Tableau is preferred.
- Knowledge of Generative AI, NLP, Computer Vision, or Big Data technologies will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹13,061.27 - ₹70,658.30 per month

Ability to commute/relocate

- Pune, Maharashtra (Pune, Pune District): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
