Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic, responsible and highly organised Assistant Merchandiser to support the Senior Merchandiser in the day-to-day execution and follow-up of orders.

The primary responsibility of this role is to accomplish the tasks assigned by the Senior Merchandiser, ensuring that materials, samples, documents and other requirements move from one process or department to another on time.

The Assistant Merchandiser must act as an important execution and follow-up link between Merchandising, Production, Stores, Purchase, Field Follow-up and other departments.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong follow-up, coordination, urgency and ownership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Execute Tasks Assigned by Senior Merchandiser

- Receive daily and order-wise tasks from the Senior Merchandiser.
- Clearly understand what needs to be completed, by when and for which order.
- Follow up until the assigned task is completely finished.
- Provide regular status updates to the Senior Merchandiser.
- Immediately report delays, shortages or problems.
- Prioritise tasks according to the Senior Merchandiser's instructions and order urgency.

2. Material Collection & Follow-up

- Follow up on materials required for active orders.
- Coordinate collection of fabrics, accessories, samples, trims and other materials.
- Coordinate with the Field Follow-up / Purchase Coordinator for material collection and movement.
- Follow up on pending materials until completion.
- Report material shortages or delays immediately.

The responsibility is to follow up and confirm completion. 3. Coordination With Field Follow-up Person





Work closely with the Field Follow-up / Purchase Coordinator for:

- Material collection
- Supplier visits
- Purchase-related follow-up
- Material delivery
- Sample collection
- Document collection
- Urgent requirements
- External movement of materials

Provide clear information and follow up until the requirement is completed. 4. Coordination With Stores

- Inform Stores about expected incoming materials.
- Follow up to ensure materials are received correctly.
- Communicate shortages or pending items to the Senior Merchandiser.
- Ensure materials required for specific orders are available when needed.

5. Production Follow-up

- Follow up with Production regarding assigned order requirements.
- Check whether required materials have reached Production.
- Communicate production-related delays to the Senior Merchandiser.

6. Sampling & Development Support Assist the Senior Merchandiser with:

- Sample movement, collection and submission
- Materials / trims required for samples
- Follow-up with relevant departments
- Movement of approved samples
- Documentation and sample-related requirements





The Assistant Merchandiser should be able to give the Senior Merchandiser a clear update without having to restart the entire follow-up process. Any task that cannot be completed within the expected time should be reported immediately.

Candidate Profile

- 2–3 years of experience in merchandising, garment manufacturing, textile or a similar industry preferred.
- Freshers with strong communication, coordination and follow-up skills may also be considered.
- Valuable knowledge of materials, accessories and order movement will be an advantage.
- Good communication and organisational skills with strong follow-up ability.
- Willingness to move around the factory and coordinate with different departments.
- Comfortable handling multiple assigned tasks.
- Should be energetic and proactive rather than waiting for repeated instructions.

Most Key Quality The candidate must have a strong "follow it until it is completed" attitude. The job is not simply to pass a message from one person to another.

The job is to ensure that the assigned requirement is actually completed.

Job Details

Gender: Male / Female

Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 8:30 PM

Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month (Salary is negotiable for the right candidate.)
