Job Overview:

Experience specifically within the Rolling Stock industry/ Rolling stock components Industry or Electrical Equipment industries in a Supplier Quality role preferable with PPAP, FAI exposure.

Experience working with electrical and electronic commodities such as:

- Electrical Cabinets
- Wire Harnesses
- IV Couplers
- Jumper Cables
- Driver Desks
- Passenger announcement and information system
- Connectors and Cable Assemblies
- Electromechanical Systems

Role & responsibilities:

- Manage supplier relationships and supplier assessments according to ISO 22163 requirements.
- Review technical specifications, drawings, quality plans, PFMEA, control plans, and manufacturing processes of suppliers.
- Ensuring the product quality robustness in Suppliers manufacturing Phase.
- Participate in supplier selection and approval activities along with Purchasing and Engineering teams.
- Handle various stages of SPQD and responsible for Pre FAI & FAI at supplier end.
- Manage supplier-related NCRs and quality incidents.
- Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, or similar methodologies.
- Monitor supplier quality performance through KPIs, scorecards, audits, and periodic reviews and ensure improvements.
- Stop acceptance of non-conforming products that may impact safety, quality, reliability, or project requirements.




- Role demands travel up to 80% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications, Minimum Experience and Competency:

- Diploma (EEE) with min 10 years experience/ B.E/ B. Tech (EEE) with Min 8 years in experience in Quality/ Supplier Quality.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable routing drawings, and assembly drawings.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and quality requirements
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to wire harnesses, electrical cabinets, cable assembly, and electro-mechanical integration.
- Positive knowledge on special processes like torquing, crimping, soldering.
- Familiarity with railway standards, quality management systems, and supplier quality methodologies.
- Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and 8D methodologies.
- IT Literate – IT tools essential to role are MS Office, Outlook.
- Excellent communication and supplier management abilities.
- Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
