Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager Sales & Estimation – HVAC to handle HVAC sales, estimation, costing, and techno-commercial activities for commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in VRV/VRF and Chilled Water HVAC systems, along with good knowledge of project requirements and client coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle HVAC sales, estimation, costing and techno-commercial proposals for commercial and residential projects.
- Prepare accurate BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates and quotations.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to understand project requirements.
- Prepare estimates for VRV/VRF and Chilled Water systems and associated HVAC services.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and internal project teams for technical and commercial requirements.
- Evaluate enquiries and prepare competitive and technically compliant proposals.
- Conduct site visits and pre-bid discussions wherever required.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for equipment, material pricing and technical details.
- Compare vendor quotations and negotiate for competitive pricing.
- Assist in developing sales opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Follow up on submitted quotations and support the sales team in order conversion.
- Maintain estimation records, enquiry status, quotation pipeline and commercial documentation.
- Ensure estimates are prepared within timelines and with appropriate margins.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment and applications.
- Hands-on experience in VRV/VRF and Chilled Water systems.
- Positive understanding of HVAC drawings, BOQs, specifications and tender documents.
- Strong estimation, costing and quantity take-off skills.
- Good knowledge of HVAC equipment, materials and installation practices.
- Strong sales, negotiation and client-handling skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD and other relevant estimation tools.
- Good communication, coordination and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries and quotations simultaneously.
Eligibility
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in HVAC sales and estimation.
- Experience in commercial and residential HVAC projects is mandatory.
- Experience with VRV/VRF and Chilled Water projects is required.
- Candidates based in or willing to work in Mumbai will be preferred.
Preferred Candidate ProfileA technically strong HVAC qualified who can independently manage the complete cycle from enquiry → site understanding → estimation → costing → quotation → client coordination → sales follow-up.
