Assistant Manager - Online Edits
Location: Mumbai| Function: BONE | Reports to: Mehul Vohra
Purpose To ensure the highest standards of technical quality, visual consistency, and creative integrity across all final content by managing colour grading, quality control, mastering, and delivery workflows. The role is responsible for translating creative intent into technically accurate, platform-ready masters while maintaining professional post-production and finishing standards across web, broadcast, and theatrical deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed quality control checks on final projects to identify and resolve technical, visual, and image-quality issues.
- Execute professional colour grading and finishing using DaVinci Resolve Studio, ensuring consistency with the creative vision.
- Manage high-resolution renders, final masters, and deliverables across multiple formats and platforms.
- Prepare technically compliant deliverables for broadcast, digital/web, and theatrical platforms.
- Apply colour management workflows including ACES, RCM, CSTs, camera colour spaces, Log/RAW footage, and colour transforms.
- Monitor and evaluate footage using professional video scopes to ensure accurate exposure, contrast, colour balance, and technical compliance.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to image quality, codecs, colour transforms, renders, and mastering.
- Maintain visual consistency across scenes, shots, sequences, and multiple deliverables.
- Demonstrate a strong creative eye for skin tones, exposure, lighting, contrast, depth, colour balance, and cinematic aesthetics.
- Develop and maintain cinematic and narrative-driven colour palettes aligned with the project's creative direction.
- Collaborate closely with Directors, Cinematographers, Editors, and Creative Leads to understand and execute creative requirements.
- Interpret creative feedback accurately and translate it into effective grading and finishing outcomes.
- Ensure final outputs meet defined technical, creative, quality, and delivery standards before release.
Critical Competencies
- Technical & Post-Production Expertise
- Expert proficiency in DaVinci Resolve Studio and professional colour grading workflows.
- Strong understanding of colour theory, colour science, ACES, RCM, CSTs, and colour management.
- In-depth knowledge of video scopes, Log/RAW formats, camera colour spaces, codecs, rendering, and colour transforms.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end post-production, finishing, mastering, and delivery workflows.

- Exceptional visual eye with the ability to identify subtle differences in skin tones, exposure, contrast,
lighting, colour balance, and image quality.
- Strong understanding of cinematic language, visual storytelling, and narrative-driven colour palettes.
- Ability to translate creative intent into a consistent and visually compelling final product.
