Role - Assistant Manager – Legal
Location - Hyderabad
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Legal to manage the organization’s litigation portfolio and provide legal support across contentious and non-contentious matters. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in litigation, legal drafting, property matters, legal due diligence, and corporate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor litigation matters across courts, tribunals, and statutory authorities.
- Draft and review legal notices, replies, plaints, written statements, affidavits, petitions, and other pleadings.
- Coordinate with external advocates, counsels, and law firms.
- Represent the organization before courts, government authorities, police authorities, and other forums as required.
- Handle pre-litigation matters, dispute resolution, settlements, and legal risk assessment.
- Draft, review, and negotiate Lease Deeds, Leave & License Agreements, Rent Agreements, and other property documents.
- Conduct property title verification and legal due diligence.
- Handle property acquisition, leasing, renewals, registrations, and related compliances.
- Draft/review commercial documents including MOUs, JV Agreements, Shareholders’ Agreements, Share Subscription Agreements, etc.
- Maintain litigation trackers, hearing schedules,
legal records, and MIS.
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Ensure timely compliance with court orders, statutory notices, and legal deadlines.
Requirements
- LL.B. mandatory; LL.M. will be an advantage.
- Enrollment with the Bar Council is mandatory.
- 7–8 years of post-qualification experience in litigation, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong hands-on experience in civil, criminal, commercial, consumer, labour, family, and property litigation.
- Excellent legal drafting, contract review, negotiation, and legal research skills.
- Experience in property documentation, title verification, lease/Leave & License agreements, and land-related compliances.
- Good knowledge of CPC, BNSS, BNS, BSA, Transfer of Property Act, Registration Act, and other relevant laws.
- Solid communication, analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple legal matters and work within strict timelines.
