Assistant Manager – Biomedical Engineering (Ophthalmology)

ASG Eye Hospital is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Biomedical Engineering to manage the installation, maintenance, calibration, and overall performance of medical and ophthalmic equipment across assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage installation, preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and calibration of ophthalmic and medical equipment.
- Coordinate and monitor AMC/CMC contracts and vendor service levels.
- Track equipment uptime and ensure timely resolution of breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate equipment inventory, service records, maintenance documentation, and compliance records .
- Support new site planning, equipment selection, installation, and commissioning .
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and service engineers for equipment-related requirements.
- Ensure adherence to medical equipment safety, quality, and regulatory standards .
- Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure preventive maintenance is completed within defined timelines.
- Identify recurring equipment issues and support corrective/preventive actions.





Candidate Requirements

- 4–7 years of experience in Biomedical Engineering / Medical Equipment Maintenance.
- Experience in hospitals, eye hospitals, diagnostics, or healthcare chains will be preferred.
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of medical and ophthalmic equipment maintenance.
- Experience in AMC/CMC management and vendor coordination.
- Valuable knowledge of preventive maintenance, calibration, documentation, and equipment compliance.
- Strong coordination, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to assigned ASG locations, if required.
