Factory Line Manager – Packing Department

About the Role

We are a manufacturing unit producing umbrellas and their components, and are looking for a hands-on Line Manager to run our packing department. You will be responsible for making sure finished goods are packed accurately, on time, and to quality standards, while supervising the packing floor staff on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the daily work of packing line workers to meet daily packing targets.
- Check that the correct items, quantities, and SKUs are being packed as per production/dispatch orders.
- Inspect packed goods for quality, damage, and correct labeling before dispatch.
- Maintain stock of packing materials (boxes, tape, labels, etc.) and raise timely requests for replenishment.
- Keep daily packing records/logs (quantity packed, rejections, material used) and report to the factory owner/production head.




- Coordinate with the production team to ensure smooth flow of goods from production to packing to dispatch.
- Manage manpower planning, attendance, and shift allocation for the packing team.
- Ensure the packing area is clean, organized, and safety standards are followed.
- Minimize wastage, damage, and packing errors through proper training and supervision of staff.
- Support loading/dispatch coordination to ensure timely delivery to customers/transporters.

Requirements
- Prior experience supervising a packing, production, or warehouse line in a manufacturing/factory setup preferred.
- Basic reading, writing, and counting skills; comfortable maintaining simple registers/logs.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-consciousness.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team of floor workers.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work factory shift hours.
- Basic knowledge of Excel/mobile apps for data entry is a plus, not mandatory.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
