Role & responsibilities An Assistant Category Buyer for Men's and Women's Wear supports senior buyers by analyzing sales trends, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining balanced inventory levels across fashion categories .

Key Responsibilities

Trend & Data Analysis: Research upcoming fashion trends, competitor assortments, and weekly sales performance to identify commercial opportunities.

Supplier & Order Management: Coordinate purchase orders, track delivery timelines, and handle daily communication with vendors regarding orders and invoices

Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels alongside the buying and merchandising teams to prevent stock outs and support profitable product ranges

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth product launches and timely deliveries

Sales & Data Analysis:



Review weekly sales data, identify best-sellers, and analyze market trends.

Administrative Support: Manage purchase orders, update internal systems, and resolve invoice or delivery issues

Requirements & Skills

- Experience: Minimum of 23 years in a retail buying, merchandising, or assistant buyer capacity.
- Analytical Skills: Robust proficiency in Excel and retail analytics/reporting tools.
- Communication: Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills for working with external suppliers.
- Education: A degree in Fashion Buying, Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
