We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day accounting and financial activities of the company. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, handling invoices, receipts, payments, reconciliations, and other accounting-related documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update daily accounting records and financial transactions.
- Prepare and maintain invoices, bills, receipts, vouchers, and payment records.
- Handle cash and bank-related entries and maintain proper documentation.
- Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Perform bank and ledger reconciliations.
- Verify expenses, bills, and supporting documents before processing.
- Maintain branch-wise and customer/vendor-wise accounts records.
- Assist in salary, reimbursement, and other payment-related accounting activities.
- Track outstanding payments and follow up with concerned departments/customers when required.
- Enter and maintain data accurately in accounting software/ERP systems.
- Assist in preparing monthly reports and statements.
- Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records.
- Support the Accounts Manager / Finance Head during audits and financial closing.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of financial information.
- Perform other accounting duties assigned by the management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Commerce / Accounting / Finance.
- 1 year of experience in accounts-related work is preferred.
- Knowledge of Tally / accounting software / ERP is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Basic understanding of GST, invoicing, and accounting procedures.
- Positive numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in the courier, logistics, transport, or service industry will be an added advantage.
- Candidates who can work independently and maintain proper financial documentation are preferred.
