Assembly Follow-Up Engineer / Project Execution Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for a Assembly Follow-Up Engineer who can take complete ownership of projects from post-design stage through manufacturing, assembly, testing, and final delivery.
The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with the design, production, purchase, quality, and assembly teams to ensure projects are completed on time, as per drawing/specifications, and with the required quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Assembly Handling
- Take complete ownership of assigned projects from post-design to final completion.
- Review released drawings, BOMs, specifications, and assembly requirements.
- Plan and follow up on the complete manufacturing and assembly process.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Purchase, Quality, and other departments.
- Track project progress and ensure activities are completed as per the planned schedule.
- Monitor manufacturing of components and ensure availability of materials and bought-out items.
- Follow up on machining, fabrication, surface treatment, and other manufacturing activities.
- Coordinate and supervise the complete assembly process.
- Ensure assembly is carried out according to drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Identify design, manufacturing, material, or assembly-related issues and coordinate with the concerned team for resolution.
- Conduct assembly trials, functional checks, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain project status reports and communicate progress to management.
- Ensure timely completion and delivery of projects.
- Support installation/commissioning at the customer site when required.
Post-Design to Manufacturing Coordination
- Study engineering drawings and understand the complete product/machine.
- Verify whether the design is suitable for manufacturing and assembly.
- Coordinate with the Design Engineer for design clarifications and modifications.
- Follow up with manufacturing teams for component completion.
- Ensure all required components, tools, and materials are available before assembly.
- Track pending parts and take necessary action to avoid project delays.
- Coordinate engineering changes and ensure the latest drawings are followed.
Quality & Documentation
- Ensure components and assemblies meet specified dimensions and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with the Quality team for inspection and rectification.
- Maintain assembly checklists, inspection reports, and project documentation.
- Ensure proper identification and traceability of components.
- Maintain records of project progress, issues, and corrective actions.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of mechanical assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and BOMs.
- Knowledge of machines, mechanisms, fixtures, and mechanical components.
- Good understanding of machining, fabrication, welding, and other manufacturing processes.
- Strong project follow-up and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and meet deadlines.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of Excel and project tracking is preferred.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Candidates with relevant experience in machine manufacturing, automation, special-purpose machines, or industrial equipment will be preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical assembly, machine manufacturing, project execution, or production coordination preferred.
- Candidates with robust practical knowledge and good project-handling ability may also be considered.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should be a hands-on mechanical engineer who can independently follow a project from post-design → material/component manufacturing → machining/fabrication → assembly → testing → final delivery, while coordinating effectively with all concerned departments. Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
