Job Summary

The Assembly Jr. Engineer II at Jabil, Inc. supports manufacturing operations by assisting in the development, optimization, and maintenance of assembly processes and equipment. Job Responsibilities

- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of new assembly processes and equipment.

- Support the optimization of existing assembly processes for improved efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.

- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to assembly equipment and processes.

- Conduct root cause analysis for assembly defects and implement corrective actions.

- Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and engineering reports.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and design engineering, to achieve project goals.

- Support the training of production operators on new or revised assembly procedures.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all assembly operations.





- Contribute to continuous improvement projects using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.

Job Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.

- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in a high-volume production setting.

- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.

- Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and basic assembly equipment.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.

- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

- Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.

- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
