We are looking for an experienced ASIC SoC Verification Engineer with strong expertise in SystemVerilog, UVM, AMBA protocols, C programming, processor architecture, and boot flow. The candidate will be responsible for IP and SoC-level verification, developing verification environments, debugging complex issues, and ensuring functional correctness of ASIC designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM-based verification environments.
- Perform IP-level and SoC-level functional verification.
- Develop test plans, test cases, sequences, assertions, and coverage models.
- Verify AMBA protocols, including AXI, AXI4-Lite, and APB.
- Develop and integrate UVM components such as drivers, monitors, sequencers, scoreboards, and agents.
- Verify processor-based SoC designs, including processor interfaces and subsystem integration.
- Develop and execute C-based tests for processor and SoC verification.
- Verify and debug SoC boot flow, including reset, initialization, memory setup, firmware execution, and peripheral initialization.
- Understand and verify processor architecture, registers, interrupts, memory map, and bus interfaces.
- Debug failures across RTL, firmware, processor, and SoC levels.
- Perform simulation, regression, coverage analysis, and coverage closure.
- Develop and debug SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA).
- Collaborate with RTL, architecture, firmware, and design teams to resolve issues.
Required Skills
Verification
- Strong hands-on experience in ASIC/SoC Verification.
- Excellent knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Strong understanding of constrained-random verification and functional coverage.
- Experience with IP and SoC-level verification.
- Good debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
AMBA Protocols
- Strong knowledge of AMBA protocols.
- Hands-on experience with:
- AXI / AXI4 / AXI4-Lite
- Understanding of protocol transactions, handshaking, ordering, bursts, and error conditions.
C & Processor
- Positive programming knowledge in C.
- Experience developing or debugging C-based processor/SoC test cases.
- Strong understanding of processor architecture and processor-based SoCs.
- Knowledge of registers, memory map, interrupts, exceptions, caches, and memory interfaces.
- Understanding of CPU-to-peripheral and CPU-to-memory communication.
Boot Flow
- Strong understanding of SoC boot flow.
- Knowledge of reset sequence, boot ROM, initialization, firmware execution, memory initialization, and peripheral initialization.
- Ability to debug issues occurring during early boot and firmware execution.
- Exposure to bare-metal or embedded software-based verification is preferred.
Good to Have
- Experience with processor verification and SoC integration.
- Knowledge of RISC-V / ARM processor architecture.
- Experience with C/C++ and embedded firmware.
- Knowledge of PCIe, DDR, USB, or other SoC
- Experience with SVA, formal verification, and coverage closure.
- Knowledge of Python/Perl/Shell scripting.
- Experience with Cadence, Synopsys, or Siemens EDA tools.
Education B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics, or a related field.
