Role Description The Area Collection Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, responsible for overseeing collections operations across an assigned area. The role involves managing and monitoring portfolio quality, ensuring timely EMI collections, and reducing delinquencies through proactive follow-up and customer engagement.

The Area Collection

Manager will supervise and guide collection officers, allocate and review daily field activities, and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines. This role includes coordinating with branch teams and other internal stakeholders, preparing collection reports and MIS, and implementing collection strategies and action plans for overdue accounts.



The position also requires field visits, customer meetings to resolve repayment challenges, and continuous improvement of collection processes while maintaining a customer-centric and ethical approach.

Qualifications

- Robust collections management and credit control skills, including experience in managing delinquent accounts and improving portfolio quality.
- Field operations and team management capabilities, with experience supervising collection staff, allocating targets, and monitoring performance.
- Customer relationship and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations, resolve disputes, and support sustainable repayment solutions.
- Analytical and reporting skills, including comfort with MIS, basic spreadsheets, and interpreting collection and portfolio data.
- Solid understanding of microfinance or retail lending, preferably in MSME or business loans, and familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance norms.
- Excellent communication in English and local language, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with branch and regional teams.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, business, or a related field; relevant experience in collections or financial services is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area, with a valid mode of transport and a focus on ethical practices and integrity.
