Role: Applied AI Engineer - Software Engineer II

Location: Same job available in 2 locations

Experience

- 3+ years of experience with most of the listed technologies
- 2+ years building AI/ML and agentic applications
- 2+ years of cloud-native engineering experience
- Understanding of Business Context Diagrams and system design diagrams
- Experience with OOP/OOD, data structures, algorithms, and code instrumentations
- Ability to travel 10%, on average

Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, machine learning, or related discipline

Responsibilities

- Build and enhance high-visibility, full-stack products
- Deliver products and AI investments that create customer and business value
- Design, build, and ship products end to end from concept through production
- Drive accountability for customer and business outcomes
- Own inference, token, and cloud cost of what you build
- Participate in requirement analysis, component design, development, testing, integrations, and support




- Maintain code-design integrity, implementation fidelity, data quality, and ongoing operations
- Create technical specifications and write high-quality, supportable, scalable code
- Work with customers and product teams before, during, and after delivery
- Translate business and user needs, architectures, and UX/UI designs into technical specifications and code
- Collaborate with empowered cross-functional teams including product management, experience, and delivery
- Integrate diverse perspectives and make decisions balancing feasibility, viability, usability, and value
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and influence through evidence-based trade-offs
- Build and maintain constructive relationships and drive consensus

Additional Responsibilities

- Develop lean engineering solutions through rapid, inexpensive experimentation
- Adopt an action-and-evidence mindset over extensive planning
- Deliver lean, supportable, and maintainable solutions in uncertainty
- Use AI and Agentic SSDLC to enable daily product deployments with full automation from discovery to production to operations
- Apply all quality checks through the SSDLC lifecycle




- Quickly acquire domain-specific knowledge relevant to the business or product
- Support teammates and focus on quality and tech debt payoff
- Continuously learn new approaches, languages, and frameworks
- Work effectively with diverse teams and changing priorities
- Contribute to skilled growth and collaborative culture
