About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Application Monitoring Associate to monitor IT applications, repositories, and backup activities on a daily basis.

The role involves identifying issues through monitoring tools, coordinating with Development and IT Teams, tracking issues until resolution, verifying fixes, and ensuring timely closure.

Key Responsibilities 1. Application & Repository Monitoring

- Add new projects, applications, and repositories to the monitoring system as required.
- Perform regular monitoring of registered applications and repositories.
- Review code quality, security, and repository-related issues identified by monitoring tools.
- Record and report identified issues to the concerned Development Team.
- Follow up with developers until issues are resolved.




- Verify fixes and confirm issue closure.
- Track pending and long-open issues.
- Escalate critical or overdue issues to the reporting manager.

2. Backup Monitoring

- Add required projects and applications to the backup monitoring system.
- Monitor scheduled backup activities and status.
- Check successful, failed, and missed backups.
- Identify and report backup-related issues.
- Coordinate with IT/Development Teams for resolution.
- Follow up on backup failures until resolution.
- Verify backup status after corrective action.
- Monitor restoration readiness/status when required.
- Maintain backup records and monitoring reports.
- Immediately escalate critical backup failures.

3. Issue Tracking & Reporting

- Maintain accurate records of application, repository, and backup issues.
- Track open, resolved, pending, and escalated issues.
- Prepare regular monitoring reports.
- Ensure timely follow-up and closure of reported issues.
- Highlight recurring or critical issues to the reporting manager.

Required Skills

- Basic understanding of software applications and IT operations .

- Basic knowledge of Git and repositories is preferred.
- Basic understanding of backup concepts is an advantage.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets .

- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Good issue tracking and follow-up abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Development and IT Teams.
- Ability to manage multiple issues and priorities.
- Proactive and responsible approach to work.
