Company Description Shoal is reimagining social media by replacing isolated, algorithm-driven feeds with a synchronous social experience that emphasizes genuine co-presence. Instead of a broadcast platform, Shoal offers a digital living room where small groups actively consume short-form content together, supported by features like shared skipping, hover chat overlays, and group timelines.
The platform is inspired by shoaling fish behavior, prioritizing organic social cohesion over manipulative algorithms and ensuring users retain agency while moving together as a unit. Shoal’s matching engine connects people based on social graph and real-time interests to create high-fidelity, small-group interactions and solve the cold start problem for digital hangouts. Team members join a mission-driven environment focused on building healthier, more meaningful online social experiences.
Role Description The Partner – Investment role at Shoal is a full-time, remote position responsible for shaping and executing the company’s investment strategy to support long-term growth and innovation.
