Role Description

The Airfreight Executive/Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru and is responsible for managing day-to-day airfreight operations. This includes handling bookings and quotations, coordinating shipments with airlines, consolidators, and agents, and ensuring timely pick-up, dispatch, and delivery of cargo. The role involves preparing and checking documentation, monitoring shipments, resolving operational issues, and maintaining compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

The Airfreight

Executive/Manager will communicate regularly with customers, provide shipment updates, address service inquiries,



and work closely with internal teams to meet service and cost targets. The position also includes maintaining accurate records, supporting process improvements, and contributing to the growth of the airfreight business.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in airfreight operations, freight forwarding, or logistics, preferably in an executive or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of air cargo procedures, documentation (e.g., airway bills), and international shipping regulations.
- Ability to coordinate with airlines, consolidators, agents, and customers, with solid customer service and relationship management skills.
- Good planning, time management, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Effective communication skills in English; additional regional languages are an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with logistics or freight management systems.
- Ability to work in office in Bengaluru, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Understanding of customs clearance processes
- Good relation with the Airlines to secure competitive rates
