We are looking for an AI Content Strategist to develop ideas for a social content channel focused on education, learning, personal development and enrichment for young people.
This is not primarily a video editing role, social media posting role or prompt-engineering role.
Your main job is to find interesting ideas worth turning into content.
You should be the kind of person who sees a research paper, Reddit discussion, TikTok trend, statistic, news story, podcast clip or cultural moment and immediately thinks:
“There is a story here.”
What You’ll DoYou will research across platforms such as:
- TikTok
- Instagram
- YouTube
- Reddit
- News publications
- Research papers
- Podcasts
- Forums
- Education publications
- Creator communities
- Google Trends
You will look for stories and insights around areas such as: education, parenting, child development, future skills, AI, careers, psychology, creativity, sports, music, enrichment activities, schools, universities and youth culture.
Your job is not simply to find topics.
Your job is to find the angle.
Instead of
“Perks of chess for children.”
Think:
“One school introduced chess to struggling students. What happened to their maths scores surprised the teachers.”
Instead of:
“How AI can help students.”
Think:
“One country is teaching children when NOT to use AI.”
The topic may be common.
The angle should not be.
What We Are Looking ForYou should be naturally strong at:
Creative Research
Finding unusual stories, studies, statistics, trends and insights that others miss.
Lateral Thinking
Connecting seemingly unrelated ideas and turning ordinary subjects into interesting stories.
Storytelling
Turning information into compelling narratives people actually want to watch.
Hook Writing
Understanding what makes someone stop scrolling in the first few seconds.
Trend Spotting
Recognising emerging conversations, formats, behaviours and cultural shifts.
Short-Form Content
Understanding TikTok, Reels, Shorts and modern social storytelling.
Audience Understanding
Knowing what young people and parents actually care about, worry about, search for and share.
Visual Thinking
Being able to imagine how an idea can be expressed visually, not just written.
Copywriting
Writing strong hooks, headlines, short scripts and creative briefs.
Research Verification
Being able to validate studies, statistics and claims before turning them into content.
You Should Understand AIYou do not need to be the person producing every AI video.
However, you should understand the creative possibilities of tools such as:
ChatGPT, Gemini, Veo, Sora, Kling, Runway and Midjourney.
We want someone who can think beyond:
“What video can we shoot?”
and ask:
“What can we now visualise that would previously have been impossible or too expensive to create?”
AI should make the storytelling stronger.
It should not replace the idea.
Who You Might BeYou may come from a background in:
- Creative strategy
- Content strategy
- Journalism
- Copywriting
- Editorial
- Advertising
- Social media
- Research
- Digital marketing
- Branded content
- Education content
Your exact job title matters less than how you think. You are probably someone who:
- Is naturally curious
- Constantly saves interesting articles and videos
- Enjoys researching obscure topics
- Understands internet culture
- Questions obvious answers
- Spots patterns
- Loves discovering unusual stories
- Can generate many different angles around one topic
- Is genuinely interested in education and how young people learn and develop
What This Role Is NOTThis is not primarily for someone whose main skill is:
- Video editing
- Graphic design
- Social media scheduling
- Community management
- Motion graphics
- AI video generation
- Prompt engineering
Those skills can be useful. But they are not why we are hiring you.
We are hiring you for your ability to:
Research → Discover → Think → Connect → Develop → Tell
What Success Looks LikeA strong AI Content Strategist should consistently be able to:
- Discover stories others have missed
- Generate multiple strong ideas every week
- Create scroll-stopping hooks
- Turn complex topics into simple stories
- Find unexpected angles
- Develop AI-native visual concepts
- Make educational topics interesting and shareable
Most importantly, every week there should be ideas that make the team say: “We need to make this.”
