Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹22,000 per month, based on experience and skills

Job Summary

Shanthi Bhavan Old Age Home is looking for hardworking, responsible, and physically fit Agriculture / Farm Workers to manage and support agricultural activities on our 4.5-acre farm located within the Shanthi Bhavan campus.

The primary focus of our farm is different types of vegetable cultivation and coconut cultivation, along with general farm maintenance and related agricultural activities.

The selected candidate should be willing to stay on the Shanthi Bhavan campus and take responsibility for the day-to-day care and maintenance of the farm.

Main Agricultural Activities

Vegetable Cultivation

- Cultivation of different seasonal vegetables.
- Land preparation and planting.
- Seed sowing and transplanting.
- Regular watering and irrigation.
- Weeding and soil maintenance.
- Application of manure, compost, and fertilizers as required.
- Pest and disease monitoring.
- Harvesting and proper handling of vegetables.

Coconut Cultivation

- Regular maintenance of coconut trees.
- Cleaning and maintenance around coconut trees.
- Manure and fertilizer application.
- Watering and irrigation management.
- Monitoring tree health.
- Assisting with harvesting activities when required.

General Farm Maintenance

- Maintain the 4.5-acre agricultural area.
- Maintain pathways, fencing, and farm surroundings.
- Maintain irrigation systems and water lines.
- Prepare and use organic manure/compost where required.
- Maintain agricultural tools and equipment.




- Keep the farm area clean and organized.
- Support seasonal agricultural activities and new cultivation projects.

Cow Farming – If Required

- Assist with feeding and watering cattle.
- Maintain cleanliness of the cowshed.
- Assist with basic day-to-day cattle care.
- Ensure proper hygiene around the cattle area.

Eligibility
- Previous experience in agriculture, vegetable cultivation, coconut farming, gardening, or farm management is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of vegetable cultivation and coconut cultivation will be an advantage.
- Candidates with experience working on larger farms are especially encouraged to apply.
- Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor and manual agricultural work.
- Hardworking, honest, responsible, and willing to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to stay on the Shanthi Bhavan campus.
