Finz is an AI-native operating finance platform for real economy businesses where costs, margins, and cash move weekly but finance still runs on a month-end cycle. It connects banking, accounting, and operational data to automate the weekly finance cycle before the books close, without replacing existing tools or adding extra headcount.

We are hiring an Accounting Lead, India & US to lead accounting across our US and India operations and customer engagements. This is a hands-on role for a qualified CA who can own both accounting execution and review, work directly with clients, and build and develop an accounting team using AI and automation.

Responsibilities

- Own accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting across US and Indian businesses
- Review P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow reporting, AP, AR, general ledger, and supporting schedules
- Oversee Indian accounting and compliance, including GST, TDS, direct tax, ROC filings, and audit coordination
- Work directly with customers, founders, finance teams, CPAs, and tax professionals
- Build and train a team of junior accountants and graduates,



and review their work
- Use AI and automation across accounting workflows to improve accuracy, speed, and team productivity

Requirements

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 3+ years of post-qualification accounting experience, with experience working on US accounting or directly with US clients
- Strong experience in month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of Indian accounting and compliance, with working knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience reviewing junior accounting work and owning final accounting quality
- Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to work directly with US clients

US CPA qualification, active US CPA candidacy, or experience with US business taxation is a robust advantage but not required. This is a high-ownership role with the opportunity to build and lead Finz's accounting team in Pune as we scale across the US and India.
