We are looking for a responsible, experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations for our jewellery retail store.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of Tally, GST, MS Excel, sales & purchase accounting, stock accounting and ledger management. Experience in the jewellery or retail industry will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally/ERP.
- Handle sales and purchase accounting and invoice entries.
- Maintain customer and supplier ledgers.
- Manage cash and bank transactions and perform bank reconciliation.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintain daily cash book and expense records.
- Prepare outstanding payment and collection reports.
- Handle GST-related accounting, reconciliation and documentation.
- Maintain jewellery/gold stock-related accounting and reconciliation.
- Reconcile physical stock with accounting records.
- Maintain accurate records of jewellery purchases, sales, returns and transfers.
- Handle karigar/job-work accounting and reconciliation, if applicable.
- Coordinate with CA/auditor for accounting, GST and other compliance requirements.
- Prepare monthly reports and assist in month-end/year-end closing.
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all financial records.

Preferred Candidate

- 2 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Candidates with Jewellery / Gold / Diamond / Retail accounting experience will be preferred.
- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
- Should be honest, responsible and able to work independently.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Should be comfortable handling confidential financial information.
