Role Description The Accounts Payable Specialist is a full-time role. This position is responsible for processing vendor invoices, verifying supporting documentation, obtaining approvals, and ensuring timely payments in line with company policies.

The specialist will prepare and reconcile expense reports, assist with journal entries related to accounts payable, and help maintain accurate accounting records. Day-to-day work includes monitoring payment schedules,



resolving invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal teams, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves contributing to process improvements, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and supporting the finance team with reporting and audit requirements.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Accounting and Finance skills, with practical experience in accounts payable processes.
- Candidates should possess skills in preparing and reviewing Expense Reports and related documentation.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to identify discrepancies, reconcile accounts, and interpret financial data.
- Candidates should possess experience in Journal Entries (Accounting), including accruals and adjustments related to payables.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including basic formulas and data management.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive communication and collaboration skills for working with vendors, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Experience in a contracting, engineering, or construction environment is an advantage.
