Role Description The Academic Counselor – US WFO role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru.

The Academic

Counselor will guide learners and families from the US market in selecting appropriate courses, understanding learning paths, and setting academic and skill-building goals aligned with BrightCHAMPS’ offerings. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, addressing student and parent queries, providing academic advising, and supporting career and skill development decisions.



The role also involves collaborating with teaching and operations teams to track student progress, improve learner engagement, and ensure a positive overall learning experience.

The Academic

Counselor will maintain accurate records, use data to inform guidance, and contribute to continuous improvement of counseling processes.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in Student Counseling and Academic Advising to support learners in making informed educational decisions.
- Solid Communication abilities, including clear, empathetic interaction with students, parents, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience or knowledge in Career Counseling and Education to guide learners on skill-building and long-term pathways.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Familiarity with US K–12 or after-school education systems and comfort working with global learners and diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and CRM or student management systems to document interactions and track progress.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple student cases simultaneously.
- Prior experience in edtech, academic counseling, or student support roles is preferred.
