Role & responsibilities

- Solid working knowledge of 3D in Blender, 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D or an equivalent tool

- Confident with meshes, materials, lighting and texturing

- Strong understanding of UV mapping. You should be able to read an existing UV layout, judge whether it will support what's being asked of it, and know how text, logos and uploaded artwork land on a surface once mapped. Most placement problems in this work turn out to be UV problems.

- Comfortable receiving someone else's model and working out how to make it do what's needed

- Basic JavaScript, enough to follow existing code, change it and debug it

- Methodical. This work involves a lot of combinations, and the person who tests them systematically is the person who does it well.

- Attention to detail, especially where a small material, normal or placement issue changes how a product reads

- Self-directed enough to work well remotely: transparent written updates,



and asking questions early rather than sitting on a blocker.

Nice to have

- Three.js or React Three Fiber experience

- E-commerce familiarity, particularly Shopify: how stores are structured, how products and variants connect, how orders come through. The concepts carry across platforms, so WooCommerce, BigCommerce or similar counts just as much.

- Any experience configuring products in an admin or CMS-style tool, especially with conditional logic or rules

- Dynamic texture work: canvas-based text, decals, user-uploaded artwork mapped to a surface
- glTF and GLB pipeline knowledge, including export settings, compression and texture packing

- Real-time optimisation: baking, LODs, draw-call reduction, mobile performance
