Research Analyst SQL/Python 1–3 Years – Pune

We are hiring a Research Analyst for a leading Global Financial Research & Analytics organization. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in SQL, Python/R, VBA, Databricks, GitLab, Data Analytics, Financial Markets, and Equity Valuation who can support data products, automate reporting, work with large financial datasets, and collaborate with research analysts to deliver high-quality analytical solutions.

Responsibilities –

1. Support the Data Products business by understanding clients' proprietary equity valuation models and maintaining financial databases.
2. Develop and maintain automated reports using advanced SQL queries on GitLab while working with databases hosted on the Databricks platform.
3. Handle large datasets, perform data validation, and create interactive dashboards to support business and client requirements.
4. Collaborate with domain experts and equity research analysts to understand reporting requirements and integrate data through flat files, databases, and APIs.
5. Develop and support applications using Python/R and VBA while contributing to business analysis, client interaction, project coordination, and IT support activities.

Requirements –

1. BE/B.Tech(CS/IT) or MCA with 1–3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Financial Research Support, or similar analytical roles.
2. Strong coding skills in SQL, Python/R, and VBA, with hands-on experience using Databricks and GitLab.
3. Working knowledge of XML, Unix Shell Scripting, and database management concepts.
4. Valuable understanding of Financial Markets, Accounting Concepts,



and Equity Valuation.
5. Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and Advanced MS Excel skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
