Role Overview

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and microservices using up-to-date Java technologies and cloud platforms.

Key Technical Expectations

Core Java & Frameworks

- Strong proficiency in Core Java (821)
- Deep experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate
- Solid understanding of OOPs, collections, exception handling, concurrency

Microservices & EventDriven Systems

- Handson experience with microservices architecture
- Familiarity with eventdriven systems using Apache Camel, Kafka, ActiveMQ, or RabbitMQ

DevOps & Cloud Platforms

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build automation
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms: Azure, GCP, AWS
- Familiarity with Azure App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, and OpenShift

Database Management

- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, PostgreSQL,



and optionally Neo4j

Containerization & Orchestration

- Handson with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm

Testing

- Proficient with JUnit, Mockito, and PowerMock for unit and integration testing

Methodologies & Practices

- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum)
- Familiarity with TDD, BDD, and pair programming

AI Tools

- Exposure to AIassisted development tools: GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and Prompt Engineering

What to Evaluate

- Depth of Core Java and Spring Boot knowledge
- Ability to design and implement microservices and REST APIs
- Practical experience with cloud, containers, and CI/CD
- Testing mindset and code quality practices
