Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices and REST APIs using Spring Boot.

Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.

Implement cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure, including deployment, configuration, and monitoring.

Work with containerization platforms such as Docker and orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes preferred).

Write well-structured SQL queries and optimize database performance across relational systems.

Document specifications and translate tech requirement into software application modules

Ensure adherence to RESTful architecture principles and API best practices.

Adhering to strict IT Control Policies

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Owners, QA, DevOps, UI/UX) in an Agile environment.

Participate in code reviews, contribute to architecture discussions, and support continuous improvement.

Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide timely resolutions.

Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Education:

- Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent.

Technical Stack:

- Main Skill: Strong hands-on in Java development/Spring Boot
- Secondary skill: SQL and Azure
- Experience in requirements definition and analysis (writing use cases, data mapping artifacts, creating swaggers, etc.)
- Experience in an Agile & Dev Ops Methodology environment
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Data, and related Spring ecosystem technologies.
- Proven experience designing and implementing REST APIs
- Strong experience with Azure cloud services (App Services, Azure SQL, API Management, Key Vault, etc.)




- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker; Kubernetes is a plus)
- Solid understanding of SQL, database schema design, optimization, and performance tuning
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Azure DevOps or similar tooling
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a rapid-paced delivery environment

Experience in the Insurance industry is a significant advantage.

Experience with message brokers (Kafka, Azure Service Bus)

Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems

Understanding of API security standards (OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect)

Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (JUnit etc.)

Java and Azure certifications
