Job Description for Valve Automation Centre Head

We are one of the authorised stockists of L&T; Valves / SKF Bearings. We also have authorised valve automation centre for L&T; Valves.

We are looking for an automation head for our Valve Automation Centre.

- Young, English literate, Computer friendly technician (BSc / Diploma / Degree of any Engineering ) having his own 2 wheeler.
- Person should have an experience of 5 - 6 years from which at least 3year experience in working in at a leadership role in SME (Small / Medium Scale) engineering company.
- Though it is not a must – however some experience in valve automation – both pneumatic and electric actuation would be great.
- Person to have a learning attitude.
- Should be able to lead a team of around 15 – 20 ( 8 – Assembly / 2 – Packing / 2- Logistics / 2 – QC / 1 – PPC / 1 – Design etc)

Some of the important responsibilites from this person are as below:

- Create solid back office support to sales team
- Interfacing between staff and directors
- To Understand Technical & Commercial Knowledge of every product / solution which provide by us.
- Create and run a system based company
- Strong experience of supply chain management (including expediting, lead-time reduction, inventory management, packaging & shipping).
- Verification of all types documentation for example AO (Assembly Order) , OA ( Order Acceptance) , PO ( Purchase Order), Indent, Invoice etc.
- To understand technically & commercially both valves, actuators and accessories.
- To decide weekly plan and handover to handover latest by each Sat afternoon.
- To look for new improvements possible in assembly procedure / system / components etc on a constant basis.
- Assembly / inspection / service to customer without defect.
- Internal inspection report for all incoming / outgoing products.
- To handle + sort out complaints if any and go into root cause analysis – to ensure similar complaint is eliminated / reduced.



Also ensure record of each of these complaints is maintained.
- Guide team in sourcing / selecting accessories / vendors / suppliers as and when needed.
- To get involved in large quantity / RC agreements with vendors / suppliers.
- Check and ok on important commercial documents.
- On weekly basis – to check the performance of each and every staff member / group + in case needed take steps to improve the same.
- To ensure that at no time – Quality is detiorated / Quality systems are not broken – just to ensure delivery on time.
- To ensure all the requirements of HR / Finance – HO honored and executed.
- Ensure the unity and teamwork of the full team works as a “Team” supporting each other and executing jobs before time with the quality standards.
- Ensure all the ISO documentation is maintained + conduct internal audit on regular basis.
- Ensure all filing is done in a proper manner – throughout the unit – thereby making it easy to track / trace any document.
- Ensure general housekeeping throughout the office / plant is maintained.
- Suggestions / actions for addition of new facilities / new products / improvements in products
- To help in preparation of Project offers including checking Spec Sheet / giving GAD / QAP / techno commercial offers / sorting out their later queries. If needed follow up with them / visit and bag the order.
- To ensure that Project Orders are executed - ensure timely documentation / testing / packing / inspection as agreed. Be present during TPI to sort out any queries / issues / MOM.
- Ensure challan book report is updated.
- To inspect all incoming components and outgoing products / assemblies.
- Ensuring proper housekeeping at any point of time
- 5 minute standing meeting / phone call each morning between 9 –10 with daily plan.
- To make habit of follow up by mails & phone calls.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
