The Role

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients - which means some of the biggest in the world.

There s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities

- Support host network connectivity.
- Administer TCP/IP and SNA infrastructure.
- Support external customer and partner connectivity.
- Troubleshoot network performance issues.
- Maintain availability of mission-critical network services.
- Support modernization and protocol migration initiatives.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

- Strong experience in z/OS Communications Server, including VTAM, TCP/IP, Enterprise Extender, and SNA administration.
- Expertise in DNS, IP routing, network security, packet analysis,



connectivity diagnostics, and network performance tuning.
- Experience with problem determination, communications infrastructure support, and enterprise network troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019, VMware ESX, and public/private cloud environments, including on-premises to cloud migrations.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills in production environments.

Preferred Technical and Qualified Experience

- Experience with IBM z/OS Communications Server, VTAM configuration, Enterprise Extender (HPR/IP), and SNA networking.
- Knowledge of TLS/SSL, encryption, firewall management, and secure network communications.
- Experience with Wireshark, OSA/Sniffer, NetView, OMEGAMON, and enterprise monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with OSA-Express, HiperSockets, Parallel Sysplex, and IBM Z networking technologies.
- Experience in network performance monitoring, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and high-availability architectures.
- Understanding of ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
- Experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), vulnerability management, Active Directory, and ADFS.
- Strong stakeholder management, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
