Job Details: Playwright Automation Testing
Core Responsibilities
- Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright.
- Script Creation: Author clean and maintainable automated test scripts for UI and API layers using JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into continuous integration/delivery pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Cross-Browser Testing: Ensure consistent application performance across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit rendering engines.
- Collaboration: Partner with developers and product teams in Agile/Scrum environments to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like JIRA, providing clear steps for reproduction and root cause analysis
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Programming Proficiency: Robust expertise in JavaScript (ES6+) or TypeScript, including understanding of asynchronous programming (async/await).
- Automation Experience: Typically, 1+ years of experience in software test automation, with direct hands-on experience using Playwright.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of DOM, CSS/XPath selectors, and browser developer tools.
- API Testing: Familiarity with validating RESTful services using Postman, REST Assured, or Playwrights built-in request context.
- Methodologies: Solid grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
