Role & responsibilities
Mandatory Skills
- COBOL Programs & ZOS: Robust understanding of COBOL Programs (working storage, copy books & sub routines) and ZOS concepts including mainframe utilities. Hands on knowledge on Restartable programs.
- CICS Hands on with writing CICS programs in linkage with Front End Systems, Testing these programs and T’shoot any issues.
Note – Core CICS knowledge to build screens is NOT needed.
- DB2 (SQL): Strong understanding of relational database concepts and advanced SQL, including SQL Error Codes
- Job Control Language (JCL) - IN Stream & Catalogue Procedures, Control Cards, SDFS (Spool), SPICE, SAR & MVS JCL Utilities
- TSO, ISPF – Hands on Knowledge
- Hands on Knowledge on REXX, EZYTRIEVE & SELCOPY
- Tools – Endevor, File Manager, Road Runner, Fault Analyser, R2DS, RDz, RTC, SONAR, Jenkins
