Role overview

We are a Microsoft partner and managed services provider looking for a skilled M365 Engineer to join our delivery team. This is a hands-on technical role with a solid ownership mindset. You will manage M365 environments for multiple clients, lead migrations, mentor junior engineers, and be the go-to technical authority for everything in the Microsoft 365 stack.

This role is not internal IT support. You will work directly with clients, own technical outcomes, and operate with high autonomy.

What you will do

- Own end-to-end M365 migrations on-prem Exchange to Exchange Online, tenant-to-tenant, hybrid coexistence setup and cutover
- Administer Exchange Online, Exchange hybrid environments, mail flow, connectors, and messaging security (SPF/DKIM/DMARC)
- Design and implement Conditional Access policies, MFA, and identity governance using Entra ID
- Manage SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and M365 security and compliance (Purview, DLP, eDiscovery, retention)
- Serve as technical escalation point for junior engineers on M365 issues
- Lead client-facing calls, gather requirements, and translate them into technical solutions
- Build and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation for managed clients
- Proactively monitor client environments, identify risks, and drive resolution before incidents occur
- Support license management, tenant health, and periodic reporting for managed accounts

Must have





- 5–7 years of hands-on M365 administration experience
- Proven experience executing M365 migrations — on-prem Exchange to M365, cutover, staged, or tenant-to-tenant (not just supporting, must have led or owned a migration)
- Exchange hybrid administration — connectors, coexistence, attribute sync, free/busy, hybrid mail flow troubleshooting
- Exchange Online depth — EAC, PowerShell, transport rules, retention/MRM, compliance, anti-spam, message trace
- Strong PowerShell scripting for M365 administration and reporting
- Experience working in an MSP, consulting firm, or multi-client environment

Good to have

- Entra ID (Azure AD) — Conditional Access, MFA, Entra Connect, hybrid identity, SSPR
- Microsoft Intune — device compliance policies, app deployment, MDM/MAM
- Microsoft Purview — eDiscovery, DLP, insider risk, sensitivity labels
- Microsoft Exchange On-prem experience
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert

What we are not looking for

- Candidates from large enterprise internal IT with no multi-client or consulting exposure
- Profiles with Exchange Online breadth but no hybrid or migration experience
- Anyone who has not personally owned or led an M365 migration end-to-end
