Production Manager – Job Description

Location: Navsari, Gujarat
Department: Production & Operations
Experience: 8–15 Years
Qualification: Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.

- Manage CNC Turning, VMC, HMC, CNC Grinding, Wire Cut, and Assembly operations.

- Monitor machine utilization, production efficiency, cycle time, setup time, and OEE.

- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Quality, and Maintenance teams for smooth production.

- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

- Ensure products are manufactured as per engineering drawings, GD&T;, and quality standards.

- Reduce rejection, rework, downtime, and manufacturing costs.

- Lead supervisors, engineers, operators, and helpers and manage manpower allocation.

- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize machine downtime.

- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, and workplace discipline.

- Prepare and review production reports, MIS, KPIs, and performance dashboards.





- Conduct regular production review meetings and present improvement plans to management.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of CNC Turning, VMC, HMC, CNC Grinding, and Wire Cut operations.

- Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, and Mitsubishi controllers.

- Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T;, and process sheets.

- Knowledge of machining parameters, cutting tools, fixtures, and productivity improvement.

- Strong leadership, manpower management, and decision-making skills.

- Knowledge of Production Planning, OEE, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S.

- Proficiency in ERP, MIS reporting, and MS Excel.

- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience in CNC machining, machine tool manufacturing, precision engineering, or heavy engineering will be preferred.
