Job Description: Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Operate conventional tool and cutter grinding machines to sharpen and manufacture cutting tools.

- Perform grinding of drills, end mills, reamers, cutters, and other precision tools.

- Read and interpret engineering drawings and tool specifications.

- Set up machines, select grinding wheels, and adjust parameters for accurate grinding operations.

- Ensure proper tool geometry, sharpness, and dimensional accuracy.

- Inspect finished tools using precision measuring instruments and gauges.

- Maintain proper tool records and grinding parameters.

- Perform routine machine maintenance and wheel dressing.

- Ensure cleanliness and safety in the tool room and machine area.

- Coordinate with production and CNC operators to ensure availability of properly maintained cutting tools.





Required Skills & Competencies

- Hands-on experience in tool and cutter grinding operations (conventional machines).

- Knowledge of cutting tool geometry and sharpening techniques.

- Ability to read technical drawings and tool specifications.

- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.

- Solid attention to detail, accuracy, and tool performance.

- Ability to work in a tool room or manufacturing environment.

Educational Qualification

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Tool & Die Making / Machinist or equivalent technical qualification.
