Designation: Sales & Use Tax Accountant – U.S. Job Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu Job type: Work from Office - 100% Job role: Permanent Job Summary; We are seeking an experienced Sales & Use Tax Accountant to support and manage U.S. multistate sales and use tax engagements, including audit defense, refund recovery, tax research, and tax savings initiatives. Key Responsibilities - Manage sales & use tax audit defense and refund recovery engagements. - Analyze sales, purchase, and fixed asset transactions for taxability, overpayments, and potential exposures. - Reconcile sales & use tax accounts with the General Ledger and transaction reports. - Conduct multistate sales & use tax research and support audits, refund claims, and interactions with taxing authorities. - Manage multiple client engagements, timelines, and deliverables. - Work with SAP, Oracle, Excel,



and other systems to analyze large datasets and improve tax reporting processes. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. - 3+ years of U.S. multistate Sales & Use Tax experience. - Experience with sales tax audits, refund claims, tax research, and state/local taxing authorities. - Robust accounting, analytical, and reconciliation skills. - Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookups, and large-data analysis. - Strong communication, organization, and project management skills. Preferred - Experience with SAP, Oracle, tax technology, audit defense, refund recovery, and tax savings projects.
