Role Overview

n

n

We are seeking an experienced MES Functional Consultant with strong automotive manufacturing expertise and hands-on experience in MES/MOM implementations. The candidate should possess deep understanding of vehicle manufacturing processes across Body Shop, Paint Shop, Engine, Transmission, Assembly, Quality, Traceability, Logistics, and Vehicle Dispatch operations for both 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler production environments.

Key Responsibilities

n

n

• Lead business requirement gathering workshops with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and Manufacturing Engineering teams.

n

• Perform AS-IS / TO-BE process mapping, fit-gap analysis, and functional solution design for MES/MOM programs.

n

• Define functional requirements, user stories, business rules, workflows, and acceptance criteria.

n

• Design and implement MES functionalities covering:

n

o Production Execution

n

o Order Management

n

o Production Planning & Scheduling

n

o Quality Management

n

o Traceability & Genealogy

n

o Andon & Production Monitoring

n

o Labor Tracking

n

o Electronic Work Instructions

n

o Vehicle Tracking & Serialization

n

o Rework & Non-Conformance Management

n

o Vehicle Dispatch & Shipment Authorization

n

• Collaborate with MES developers, architects, and shopfloor teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

n

• Support SIT, UAT, deployment, hypercare, and user training activities.

n





• Drive process standardization and best-practice adoption across manufacturing sites.

n

• Support global rollouts, template development, and multi-plant MES deployments.

n

• Participate in pre-sales, solutioning, effort estimation, demonstrations, and RFP response activities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 10–12 years of MES/MOM consulting experience with at least 5+ years in automotive manufacturing.

n

• Hands-on experience in at least one full MES implementation lifecycle.

n

• Strong knowledge of 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler manufacturing operations.

n

• Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 automotive suppliers.

n

• Excellent stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and communication skills.
