Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology (GCET) is looking for an experienced and accomplished Professor/Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering to strengthen its academic, research, and industry-oriented initiatives.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or a relevant allied specialization from a recognized institution with 10 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Lead and supervise research projects, publications, Ph.D. scholars, and sponsored research.
- Develop cutting-edge, industry-relevant curriculum and laboratory activities.
- Promote industry-academia collaboration, consultancy, patents, and funded projects.
- Introduce AI-enabled and emerging digital technologies into Civil Engineering teaching, research, and applications.
- Contribute to academic quality, accreditation, OBE, and institutional development initiatives.
- Mentor faculty members and support departmental academic leadership..
AI & Emerging Technology Skills – Preferred
Candidates should demonstrate awareness and practical exposure to recent AI tools and digital technologies being adopted in Civil Engineering, such as:
- Generative AI / Large Language Models (LLMs) for research, technical documentation, analysis, and academic applications.
- AI/ML tools for predictive modelling, structural health monitoring, risk assessment, construction management, transportation, geotechnical and environmental engineering.
- AI-integrated BIM and Generative Design.
- Digital Twin technologies for infrastructure monitoring and predictive maintenance.
- GIS, Remote Sensing, UAV/Drone and LiDAR-based applications.
- AI-enabled construction planning, scheduling, cost estimation, quantity take-off and risk prediction.
- Data analytics, Python/MATLAB or similar computational tools for engineering applications.
AI, BIM, digital twins, computer vision, robotics, and predictive analytics are increasingly important areas across modern Civil Engineering practice and research.
