Job Description

We are looking for a Jr Political Reporter/Correspondent with solid reporting and writing skills and a keen understanding of the political landscape.

Key Responsibilities

- Cover political developments, events, leaders and issues across Mumbai and Maharashtra, along with key national political developments.
n
- Develop strong sources and maintain relationships with political leaders, government officials and other relevant stakeholders.
n
- Generate original stories, breaking news, interviews and ground reports.
n
- Track political developments and identify stories that are relevant to readers.
n
- Attend press conferences, political meetings and events and report accurately and promptly.
n

Requirement

n

n
- 3–5 years of experience in political journalism/reporting.
n
- Strong understanding of national and Maharashtra politics, with particular knowledge of Mumbai’s political landscape and civic issues.
n
- Strong writing, reporting and fact-checking skills.
n
- Ability to work under deadlines and handle breaking news situations.
n
- Good network of political and government sources will be an advantage.
