Position Overview:
The Tableau Administrator is responsible for the end-to-end administration, installation, configuration, and support of Business Intelligence tools, primarily Tableau. This role ensures high availability, scalability, and optimal performance of Tableau solutions, enabling stakeholders to visualize and interpret data effectively. The position involves managing security, performance tuning and user training, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate Tableau with enterprise data sources.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage security, performance tuning, and user training for Tableau solutions.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
Implement best practices for data governance and security.
Support and train end users on Tableau functionality and data visualization techniques.




Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports as needed.
Coordinate with IT and data teams to integrate Tableau with various data sources.
Plan and execute upgrades and patch management for Tableau software.
Automate routine maintenance tasks and optimize system performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop solutions.
Configure and maintain integrations between Tableau Cloud and key enterprise data platforms (Salesforce, Salesforce Data Cloud, Databricks)
Partner with the Global Analytics and Salesforce teams to develop new capabilities such as Tableau Pulse, Tableau Next , and semantic layer integration with Salesforce Data Cloud.
Education and Experience:
5+ years of experience
Proven experience as a Tableau Administrator or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of Tableau Server architecture and infrastructure .
Strong understanding of SQ L and relational databases.
Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell scripting ).
Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and ETL processes.
Skills and Competencies:
Tableau Certified Data Analyst or Tableau Certified Site Administrator.
Experience and knowledge with Tableau Pulse, Tableau AI, Tableau Next or Agent force.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work independently on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Comfortable working in CST or EST time zones.
