Deep pharmacy systems expertise first
Script Assist is looking for a Pharmacy Systems Manager with deep hands-on experience owning, configuring, implementing or optimising pharmacy or medication-management software.
We are looking first and foremost for a pharmacy systems expert.
You may currently work with:
- An EHR / EMR / HIS pharmacy module
- A Pharmacy Management System
- A PMR system
- A medication-management platform
- A hospital pharmacy system
- A dispensing platform
- A pharmacy inventory system
- A pharmacy automation platform
You do not need to be an established department head.
You may already be a senior specialist, application lead, module lead, product owner or emerging manager who is ready to take broader responsibility.
What matters is that you genuinely understand complex pharmacy software.
We can broaden an exceptional pharmacy-technology specialist into greater client ownership.
We cannot teach deep pharmacy systems expertise from scratch.
? About Script Assist
Script Assist is building the operating system for next-generation private healthcare in the UK.
Our software is used by clinics, pharmacies and healthcare operators and already supports tens of thousands of medical cannabis prescriptions every month.
The pharmacy side of Script Assist supports complex workflows across:
- Prescription processing
- Pharmacist and clinical review
- Dispensing
- Medication and product data
- Inventory
- Stock movement
- Batch and expiry management
- Order management
- Fulfilment
- Delivery
- Reconciliation
- User roles and permissions
- Reporting
- Integrations
We are looking for someone who can work closely with our Director of Pharmacy and take increasing ownership across this environment.
? The role
You will become a senior member of the team responsible for the Script Assist pharmacy platform.
You will help us:
- Understand complex pharmacy requirements
- Configure and optimise pharmacy workflows
- Investigate difficult live issues
- Understand how customers are using the system
- Identify whether problems are configuration, workflow, data, permissions, training, integration or product issues
- Translate pharmacy requirements into clear Product and Engineering work
- Improve existing platform behaviour
- Validate fixes and releases
- Support implementations
- Support customer optimisation
- Improve how the platform operates as we scale
This is not a generic project-management role.
This is not pharmaceutical product management.
This is not generic customer success.
You need genuine pharmacy technology depth.
⚙️ Your pharmacy systems experience
You should have worked hands-on with complex pharmacy or medication-management software.
Relevant experience may include:
- Pharmacy workflow configuration
- Medication-management configuration

We want someone who understands why the system behaves the way it does.

- Pharmacy automation platforms
Experience with UK PMR platforms such as:
- Titan PMR
- Cegedim Rx
- RxWeb
- Positive Solutions
would be particularly interesting.
You do not need experience with Script Assist specifically.
You do need deep experience with complex pharmacy software.
? What you should be able to work out
When something goes wrong, you should naturally ask:
- Is the workflow correct?
- Is the configuration correct?
- Are the right permissions in place?
- Is the user following the correct process?
- Is the underlying data right?
- Is there an integration issue?
- Is this a software defect?
- Is this actually a new product requirement?
- Can existing functionality solve it?
- Can configuration solve it without development?
- What are the operational consequences?
We want someone who can combine:
Pharmacy knowledge + systems understanding + operational judgement
? Client-facing responsibility
You will also work directly with UK pharmacies and healthcare operators.
You will:
- Join and increasingly lead pharmacy client calls
- Understand customer requirements
- Explain system behaviour
- Help customers improve workflows
- Manage difficult issues
- Challenge unclear requests
- Push back professionally
- Give clear updates
- Manage actions through to completion
- Coordinate with internal teams
- Support implementation and optimisation
You do not need to have spent your entire career managing clients.
But you must be confident, articulate and credible enough to work directly with customers.
?️ Product and Engineering collaboration
You will work closely with:
- Director of Pharmacy
- Product
- Engineering
- QA

- Improve pharmacy workflows over time
You should be able to speak both:

? Relevant previous titles
This role may suit someone currently or previously working as a:

- Medication Management Lead
- Clinical Systems Lead – Pharmacy
- Pharmacy Informatics Manager
- Pharmacy Informatics Specialist
- EHR Pharmacy Lead
- Clinical Application Lead – Pharmacy
- Pharmacy Module Lead
- Pharmacy Implementation Lead
- Senior Pharmacy Application Specialist
- Senior Product Specialist – Pharmacy
- Product Owner – Pharmacy / Medication Management
Your exact title is less significant than your actual systems depth.
? The level we are looking for
You will typically have around 4–12 years of relevant experience.
You may be:
- A highly capable 4–6 year pharmacy-system specialist ready to step up
- A senior application or module specialist
- A pharmacy systems lead
- A Product Owner
- An experienced manager
We care more about:
- Pharmacy-system depth
- Technical understanding
- Judgement
- Communication
- Ownership
than the number of years you have accumulated.
✅ What we are looking for
You should have:
- At least 4 years of relevant pharmacy-technology experience
- Deep hands-on pharmacy systems experience
- Strong understanding of dispensing and medication workflows
- Experience configuring or improving pharmacy software

- Dispensing systems
- Medication management
- Pharmacy inventory
- Pharmacy automation
- Pharmacy integrations
- Pharmacy implementation
- Product ownership
- Client delivery
A B.Pharm, M.Pharm, PharmD or recognised pharmacist qualification is valuable but not required where pharmacy-technology expertise is exceptional.
? This role is probably not right for you if your experience is mainly
- Pharmaceutical sales
- Pharmaceutical marketing
- Drug product management
- Pharmacovigilance
- Medical affairs
- Medical coding
- Generic healthcare consulting
- Generic business analysis
- Generic SaaS customer success
- Project management without pharmacy-system expertise
- EHR experience unrelated to pharmacy or medication workflows
- Pharmacy operations with little technology experience
- Software development with little pharmacy-domain knowledge
The core requirement is:
Deep pharmacy systems expertise, with enough communication and judgement to work directly with customers and Product/Engineering.
Why join Script Assist?
You will work directly with our Director of Pharmacy on one of the most sophisticated areas of the Script Assist platform.
You will have the opportunity to combine:
- Pharmacy
- Technology
- Systems
- Product

- Operations
For the right person, this can grow into increasingly broad ownership of the Script Assist pharmacy platform and pharmacy function.
