Role & responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and analytical reports aligned with business KPIs and requirements.
Build and optimize enterprise-grade semantic models (datasets) using dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schema).
Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and time intelligence metrics.
Write complex, optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and troubleshooting.
Develop and manage Power BI Dataflows using Power Query (M Query).
Integrate data from multiple sources including OData feeds, REST APIs, Dataverse (D365 F&O; and D365 CRM), Azure SQL, and more.
Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage workspace-level access controls.
Manage Power BI Workspaces, Apps, deployment pipelines, and dataset governance.
Optimize report performance, dataset refresh strategies, and handling of large-scale data.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure reporting models align with Lakehouse/Warehouse architecture.
Troubleshoot dataset refresh failures, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Participate in requirement gathering, stakeholder reviews, UAT support, and solution demonstrations.
