Job Description
Candidate is responsible for developing and transforming complex Engine design concepts into high-quality technical drawings and 3D models. They provide technical leadership, ensure adherence to global standards, and optimize the design process for manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
Complex Modeling: Create high-fidelity 3D models and sophisticated 2D assemblies using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, CREO).
2.Design Optimization: Review designs for DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) to reduce production costs and errors.
3.Tolerance Analysis: Perform advanced GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure parts fit and function correctly under real-world conditions.
4.System Integration: Ensure all components integrate seamlessly within the larger system architecture.
Mastery of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing): Beyond basic dimensions,
they must understand standards to define allowable variations, ensuring parts function regardless of manufacturing source.
FEA & Simulation Basics: Ability to run basic Stress, Strain, or Thermal simulations to validate designs before handing them off to Skilled Engineers (PEs).
PDM/PLM Administration: Expertise in managing Product Data Management settings (like SolidWorks PDM or PLM) to handle version control, workflows, and data security.
8.BOM Management: Proficiency in generating and managing complex Bill of Materials, ensuring integration with ERP and PLM systems.
