Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain Mainframe applications.
Analyze business requirements and prepare technical design documents.
Develop and optimize COBOL programs.
Create and maintain JCL for batch processing.
Work with DB2, VSAM, and CICS applications.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Conduct code reviews and follow development standards.
Collaborate with business analysts, testing teams, and stakeholders.
Support application deployment and release activities.

Essential Skills
Solid experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.
Hands-on experience with Mainframe development and support.




Knowledge of Mainframe utilities such as IDCAMS, SORT, FILE-AID, and XPEDITOR.
Experience with batch processing and online transaction systems.
Solid debugging and problem-solving skills.
Valuable understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.

Preferred Skills
Experience in BFSI domain.
Knowledge of Endevor, Changeman, or other source control tools.
Exposure to IMS DB/DC.
Experience with Mainframe modernization initiatives.
Knowledge of MQ Series and Web Services integration.
