Role & responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons for secondary school students (Grades 810/12, as applicable).
Explain biological concepts through practical examples, experiments, and demonstrations.
Prepare lesson plans aligned with the curriculum and learning objectives.
Conduct laboratory sessions while ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.
Assess student learning through tests, assignments, projects, and practical evaluations.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and academic progress.
Use interactive teaching methods, digital tools, and visual aids to enhance learning.
Encourage scientific thinking, observation, inquiry, and problem-solving skills.
Prepare students for board examinations and practical assessments.
Maintain discipline and create a positive,



inclusive classroom setting.
Collaborate with fellow teachers, coordinators, and parents to support students' academic and personal development.
Participate in school meetings, training programs, and extracurricular activities.
Stay updated with advancements in Biology and incorporate relevant teaching practices into the classroom.

Preferred candidate profile
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
B.Ed. is mandatory.
Minimum 23 years of teaching experience in a secondary school.
Robust subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using technology and smart classroom tools for teaching.
