Job Summary

This Position reports to: Engineering Manager.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an effective and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing the corresponding engineering assignments.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based inBangalore, India.

Responsibilities
As a technical lead for all engineering disciplines - evaluates, selects and applies standardtechniques, procedures and criteria to perform tasks for conventional projects.
Execute assignments using established solutions. May act as a design authority andcompletes engineering assignments.
Collaborates on project installation, commissioning and site activities, clarifying potentialissues or providing solutions to correct engineering errors. Provides technical support tocommissioning and start-up activities.
Assists in creating proposals for projects.
Supports Contract Manager in issuing claims.




Creates work plans and cost estimates in ones area of responsibility.
Evaluates risks and opportunities, strategizes mitigation of ones engineering projects/programs.
Interact with customers, contractors, suppliers.
Oversee the creation of subcontracts and manage subcontractors jointly with other involvedfunctions.

Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of design, engineering, testing, commissioning and consulting experienceof Control and Safety Systems in oil gas production / refining / petrochemical / pharmaceutical industry.
Experience in managing cross-functional teams.
TUV Functional Safety Engineer Certification (or equivalent).
Working knowledge of the Safety Lifecycle and participation in functional safetyassessments.
Working knowledge of IEC61508 and IEC61511
Proficiency in Safety System design, application programming, hardware design, and HMIgraphics development.
Experience in safety system hardware inspection, FAT, SAT, loop checks, start-up andcommissioning.
Must have positive communication leadership capabilities.
Must have robust team-building skills and Willingness to travel to customer sites.
