Person Specifications:
Bachelor/ masters degree in mechanical engineering

5 to 8 years of experience in water, waste water treatment, industrial water treatment and pumping station projects.
Knowledge of process and Instrumentation diagram and control philosophy with the ability to integrated mechanical system for seamless coordination across all project phases.
Proficient in equipment selection and sizing, including rotating equipment and pump.
Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME, API, and BS EN
Knowledge of pipe stress analysis and pump station design, pump sizing and selection
Generate plant layout design.
Knowledge of 2D and 3D drafting software such as AutoCAD, REVIT and Open Plant Modeler preferred.
Have excellent data manipulation abilities (MS Excel/MS Access database type packages)
Technical report writing skills.
Competent level of baseline skills, i.e. skilled and confident with the essential, basic business and communication skills that are required for growth opportunities in all positions.
Rigorous attention to detail, able to understand and adopt workflows and commitment to personal professional development.




Adaptable attitude to accepting different work assignments and pro-active attitude to execution / delivery.

Key Accountabilities:
Perform mechanical equipment sizing, calculations, and selection.
Production of technical mechanical specifications, data sheets, schedules, reports, and other deliverables
Contribute to optioneering, outline design, detailed design, and construction support for the respective projects.
Prepare technical reports.
HAZOP, ALM, and Hazardous area classification
The whole Life Cost analysis
Prepare mechanical plant general arrangement drawings, bills of quantities, piping layouts, and isometric drawings across project phases.
Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor/management.
Complete all work in line with STANTEC Core Values and in accordance with STANTEC Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
Need to work off-hours for client co-ordination: Occasionally.
Need to travel offshore for training / in office work: Occasionally.
